I cleaned the interior and got it running with a nice mild ported 12A and a slightly moded Nikki.
Percent helped me drop it in there. I even had access to an old rusty RB dual pipe "streetport" center section with header. The end result was promising. The flywheel was a heavy stock '83-'85 and the muffler was just a stock '81-'82 so it was rather loud with the RB system. Lots of room for improvement (which I intend to do). |

The engine, tranny, exhaust and gas tank were actually pulled for other projects.
So what am I going to do with it? Whatever I do it will be an improvement over how it was before. It's getting a better tranny, quieter exhaust (it honestly sounded bad before as there was only midrange - no bass and kinda metallic), the same 12A is going back in but will get a light steel flywheel with SS pressure plate, the carb will get bigger jets, the beehive will get swapped over to an air oil cooler and short style 3 row radiator. DLIDFIS will be added. Some things on the car that need fixing are the steering needs to be tightened and one of the calipers drags so I'll free it up. Probably a brake pad swap too since the rotors are in need of eventual changing - no need to turn them. Someone spent some quality time with this S model and swapped in a GSL disc brake rear end and brake master cylinder. All I need to do is upgrade the engine, tranny, exhaust etc... I think I'll go EFI after the GSL-SE tank goes in.
