Introduction as new member

New to this club and I'm hoping to gain more insight and opportunities to share project I hope to start soon with my son. I have owned 79 RX7, 87 RX7 and looking for 93 RX7 to complete the grouping! Any good suggestions for shops in the KY/IN/OH tristate area?

RedR1 will become famous soon enough
Hello, and welcome to the forum! That is awesome, havingg a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen in the collection! I'm from FL so I have no input on the shops in the area unfortunately, and have only had a bad experience with a shop in OH.

Welcome to the forum rx2dive

I´m kinda with RedR1 in that I don´t have much experience with shops in your area, and the experience I *do* have hasn´t been positive...

My honest suggestions would be to consider doing your own work, if you´re mechanically inclined, or biting the bullet and driving/towing your car to Speed1 in PA (about 45 minutes west of Harrisburg).

One other shop I would trust that´s closer to the midwest is Chips Motorsports. Chip can run a bit on the pricy side, but his work is ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH!!! I´ve commissioned custom(ish) work from him before and was blown away with the quality of what he returned to me!! Chips Motorsports WILL be receiving my return business (I´ve been let down by enough "professionals" in the rotary scene that I´m not usually enthusiastic about a shop until they have really proven themselves to me).

But yeah... welcome to the forum! Be prepared to do your own work, otherwise I´d advise transporting your rotaries to either Lenhartsville, PA (Speed1) or Leonard, MI (Chips Motorsports) for work if you want it done correctly the first time.

Cheers,

Levi
