Ohlins model DFV coilovers for your 8. You'll thank me later If/when I get an 8, that will be my first purchase.

nice, got us a S1 for a steal and hasn't let us down yet. now the TII just collects dust in the garage..

but lots of things are changing soon, we're seriously considering moving to central florida which will require selling most everything including my Ducati and possibly my TII. the GXL i gave my gf already has a deposit on it to be sold. it's going to cost a chunk of gold if i want to move all this shit down there.

if i keep the TII i'm considering changing things around a bit on it with a 9.4:1 CR engine, studding, E85 and a borg warner S475 OR getting off my ass and building the 4 rotor PP engine. been flip flopping on everything though, because i may get a set of jigs to replicate Lotus super 7's based on rotary powerplants. the TII is still doing fine, even though that old chassis now has 210k miles on it and has been my experiment test bed for a decade.

I've been thinking of moving myself down to Florida when I get out as well. I've still bounced around the idea of opening up my own shop. Either automotive or some sort of electronic repair but I wouldn't even know where to start with that ha ha. I'll just stick with trying to get my engineering degree I guess.

I'd love to see that 4 rotor get going! If you do find yourself here and need a hand just let me know, I would be more than down to make a trip to help out.

i lived in st. pete for 1.5 years and it always stood out as a place i wouldn't mind living longer term aside from california. but california just isn't a car enthusiast friendly state.

what i'm looking for is a ranch home on grandfathered land with access to commercial licensing so i can build engines at home without commuting(right now i'm sinking more into the shop than we pay for mortgage on the house so the business would actually pay the mortgage). we will be going down there in a few weeks to visit the gf's family and also look around while we're there.

moving costs are going to be about $10k minimum just for hauling, which is actually about what it cost to move here from cali.

thanks for the offer, you are in florida at the moment?

Yep for at least 2 but most likely 3 years to end my enlistment. I don't plan on reenlisting and want to go to school so I might end up making Florida my new home. I completely agree with the California statement. I love it there and all my family lives in the state but I can't do anything to my car without fearing a ref ticket.

Damn maybe next time you're in town then. We should plan it lol. If DGRR hadn't just happened I would have been able to come down.
