I found mine on "the other clubs" for sale section. Don't get in a hurry to buy one, research the car on car fax, go look at under, around and through any possible cars close enough to see yourself. I bought mine sight unseen through two weeks of e-mails and phone calls. Then flew to Milwaukee paid for it got the paperwork and took the High Speed Ferry back to Michigan then drove three and a half hours home starting that drive around midnight. Bottom line is I paid book (Kelly Blue Book) which at that time was $6400. I wanted an unmolested T2 that I could upgrade myself. The only thing this guy had done was removed the air pump due to it failing and replaced the original clutch with an ACT six puck unsprung clutch. The darn thing was really harsh on engagement around town. I replaced it with a Centerforce Dual Friction sprung plate and pressure plate, much better feel now. We will see how it stands up once we get the engine broken in. Including the purchase price I stopped counting at roughly $11,000. I enjoy driving it though and my ol lady has been very tolerant thank god. Last edited by 2713ddddavid; 04-23-2008 at 11:35 PM. Reason: added more info |

Little personal experience just taught a big lesson.
The second launch from 5k smoked the clutch. About 1500 miles on the setup and we are back on jack stands. Centerforce will warranty this one and I can upgrade to their DFX clutch for just the price difference of about $100. If I can get into the low twelves I'll love it. |
