The Dragon is breathing fire!

http://www.wbir.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=56810
Quote:
Fire crews are battling a brush fire just off US 129, the stretch of highway known as "the Dragon."

That fire was apparently started by a car crash, the Department of Forestry said.

Forestry teams from Blount and Monroe counties have been called in to fight the fires, and the Blount County and Loudon County fire departments will also respond.

The fire is burning just off the Dragon, near Chilhowee Mountain. There is no word at this time on the acreage burned.

I was expecting it to be a story about a massive back fire mishap or something with all the rotaries there.

That is really fortunate the weekend you picked, Herblenny. Any word if the driver of the car that started the fire was alright? I am obviously too lazy to visit the link.

It was a bike and he's fine.

Yeah, unfortunately many of the idiots in the area do have internet access to ensure the rest of the world still thinks we run around with no shoes on our feet and sleep with our cousins.
