Once You Go Black...

The interior is coming along slowly, but the carpet kit is waiting for everything to come out again. The seat-backs are stock Honda S2000, and the seat-bottoms are re-skinned FD. Took a good amount of fabrication (cutting/welding/lathing) to put them together.

I reused the perforated Honda seat leather, if you were wondering...

That looks pretty good props for ingenuity. How is the fit?

Clears everything (not by much), but the seatbelt shoulder-clip is too low (need to fabricate something), so the belt slips behind the seat and I have to open the door to fasten the seatbelt easily.

I bought the S2000 seats cause I like the looks, but then found out that the seat pans were swapped with Integra pans, so the guy could fit them in his Integra. Those pans didn't fit the foam correctly, or the FD well, so they had to go. This was the easier option in my opinion, even though I don't like the seat pans from the FD either. Mazda seems to have some odd ideas about how to build stuff, and their seats are a mess. Anyway, the idea was to get away from the stock seats, which I don't care for.
