I'm in the preliminary stages of shopping for an 8, but not to the point that I would want to bother you with questions and stuff yet. While I'm certain that I want one, I'm still new to the rotary scene and am trying to educate myself as much as possible about what to expect from these extraordinary machines.
No problem. Once you drive a Rx-8 for awhile it is like relearning how to drive all over again anytime you get into a regular car. They just don't handle or feel as good at speed like the 8 does.

Apart from the aesthetics, I think that and the uniqueness of the rotary engine is what's draws me to them the most.

I feel like this whole process is going to be frustrating. Car shopping in itself is a huge pain in the ass (at least for me.) With a car like the RX8, it almost seems like a better idea to buy one privately, simply because if you find someone who's into rotaries, you're more likely to find a car that's been treated right and maintained.
