Just curious as to why.

Anyways, I ordered my tires, I am expecting them in 2 months.
And, that's fine because I won't be driving until May, for my birthday.

the Vacuum line, to my MAP became detached while I was legally drifting.
my engine would not rev past 2500, and idled from 300-650 and was stalling.
Fortunately, I acquired a Zip-Tie.
I fixed a catastrophic engine failure, With a Zip-Tie.
JDM FTW.

Damn.... that ain't bad at all.... they may not fit though..... 245 on a 17x8.5 +35 with a 5mm offset on my FC? It'll clear the shock... not sure about the fender though... and fucking CHEAP!!!!!

Yeah... I'm sold... I'll toss them on the coupe.

section width 9.8
tread width 9.1
vs the 235 direzza
section - 9.6
tread - n/a

should fit... the only time the direzza's rubbed was @ limerock... and I've since rolled the fenders... should be good to go actually......

When did you last run the NT05? I currently have them on my 8 and have run a full season of autox on them plus DGRR2011. They're at the end of their life now and I am replacing them (with the RS3), but only to go to a larger size and softer compound.

The NT05 is a HUGE improvement over the 555 tire and is not an R comp, so I don't expect it to run with the NT01. Its in a class with the RS3, Direzza Stars, Ecsta XS, etc. In its price category, its better than the direzza and the xs. I've run all three with the SAME suspension settings, same venue, etc and the NT05 was the best. More predictable and much better life than the XS, more turn-in then the direzzas.

All that being said, I will be moving onto the RS3. I don't think anybody will argue its better than the XS, NT05 and star specs.

And Bridgestones? Forget it... great tire, way overpriced given the new generation of cheaper sport tires.

Bill, you were right I was looking at the RS3 as a good option for the FB but it is still going to be asking a LOT for any tire to stick when the boost hits.

I'm not comparing it against Nitto tires......I'm comparing it against other tires in it's class. And based on Nationals results.......it just doesn't stack up. Give me an RE-11, AD08, Direzza or R-S3 any day of the week. Hell the Toyo R1R is quick in the 15 inch size.

Maybe not the Direzza since you seem to have tested it on the 8, but AD08 is better in the dry, and the RE-11 is better in the wet. But you're right, both tires lead the class in price.
