Well I guess I just had to get on here and mention it. They just called me back and they have scheduled an officer to come by around 12:00. He said they will be short-handed this weekend and if something comes up that the officer may not be able to make it or may have to leave. He gave the officer my cell number so he can contact me if something does keep him from making it.

Well, I thought they were pretty kewl while we were there. Flew past a two of them park side by side (I'm guessing talking to eachother) today on my last run... they waved at me, so I waved back and carried on my merry way.

I talked to one at the Tobcat bridge late Saturday afternoon as he was heading home for the day. He was pretty well pleased with us as a group but did say he had to write one person up. As usual his main complaint was there were too many people crossing the yellow line. And the NCHP officer was pretty cool, even though he wouldn't put in handcuffs.

The first year we had the sheriff who came out put some of us in handcuffs and poses like we were being arrested and took pictures. I have them somewhere. So... I figured why not try again. He laughed about it and said he didn't want to end up in the News & Observer (Raleigh newspaper) but did take a couple of pics with me. Cool guy and nice of him to come out, and get on the gas a little bit (exhibition of speed!) as he left. Yep, it was a HEMI in that Charger.
