Default New to the Rotary game

Greetings. I'm new to the rotary game, always been intrigued by them but never owned one till a few months ago. I picked up a 85 SE, clean body, most of the interior is clean, has the usual UV damage on the hard plastic pieces. The issue with it was it would start but not stay running. It has probably been sitting for over 10 yrs. So far I have dropped the gas tank, cleaned it out, replaced the sock with a rigged piece since you can no longer find a replacement for it, replaced the fuel filter and all the rubber lines. Found out the fuel pump isn't getting 12v unless you use the short connector located near the air filter, even then the pump is dead. That is where I stopped working on it a few months ago because at the time I didn't have the money for a new pump. I have also pulled the dash out, heater core needs replaced as well, and found a nice mess of wires just hanging everywhere and that someone tried to remove the dash and only managed to break the lower panels

I would love to get this thing going by the Deals Gap meet. I live in the north Charlotte area, near Northlake mall. If someone is local and wouldn't mind coming and having a look and give me some insight on it or help out I would greatly appreciate it. There can be beer involved I can do almost anything that needs to be done to it and know the basic theory on how they run, I just lack experience messing with them. I've had my current car for about 11 yrs now and refuse to let it die, 91 Civic Hatchback. It has only ever been in a shop once and just recently on a wrecker.
