FWIW though, I've been running over 400whp through a godspeed intercooler for quite a while. (over 2 years, plenty of road miles - lost count)
I'm sure a better more effcient core would maximize my cooling, probably gain a bit of power - or on the other side, a smaller more effcient core cuold gain response - but has it worked? Oh yes. Was it cheap - you bet.
