FD gauge dash: how the hell this thing works?

from the schematics my conclusion was:

Oil pressure, coolant temp, and fuel level = analog signals, easy to do

Tach = signal from coil

Speedometer = signal from gearbox, goes to the ecu and then to the dash

Pics... easy to read schematics or idiot notes would be great

I need a "GAUGE CLUSTER FOR DUMMIES" kinda thing,...
