Yeah, he couldn't stop smiling!
We were having problems trying to get time to street tune the set-up. Lots of rain + end of month meant lots of cops on the street. Although I normally dyno tune *after* doing a good street tune, the opportunity opened up to get the car on the dyno. The very first run (I always do a baseline), the car put down a paltry 211 at the wheels on the Dynapack. The car was quick, but it was lacking the punch that the big single turbo was supposed to produce. The first dyno session netting a gain from 211 to 267. The car was a handful for the owner after that significant gain in power. I let him drive the car around for almost a month before this second dyno session, in which we bumped the boost up. He took the car after the tune down the street for a quick run, and he said it was scary fast... 300+ at the wheels will tend to do that to you after driving the car for months just barely over 200. ![]() I'll try and get pics of the car soon. -Ted |

yes, 211 to 311 is like going plaid!
i'm amazed that the smaller turbine wheel actually makes such a flat tq curve, that @250-300hp is gonna be really fun on the street mike Last edited by j9fd3s; 05-07-2011 at 02:18 PM. |
