Default second opinion - Trailing Coil Failure

alright, so driving home from work a couple days ago, and the Tach shuts down, and the CEL comes on. Turned the car off. and everything works fine again. didn't have any issues until yesterday when driving home again. same Situation, Tach shuts down and CEL comes on. stop by Eegee's and shut off the car, and once again, clears. this time it comes on again before i get home so i run in and grab my PDA to run codes (thank god for my Rtek lol) and the ONLY error it shows is Trailing Coil Failure

now, i have a spare coil from my TII motor i can swap, but should i be looking into wiring at all also? or does this sound like a Coil Failure??

thanks guys

Coil is getting hot and failing.
