Just ordered some wheels, and would like to clarify tire size before ordering.
I ordered a set of wheels.
Front 18x8 +38 Rear 18x9 +38 My car has tokico blues and eibach springs (1" drop). My question is will 225/40/18 (front), and 245/40/18 (rear) work without fender rolling, crazy camber, and still clear my springs? I would like to get as much tire as I can without tons of modification. I'm sorry for asking as I know wheel fitment has been covered and covered, I am still working on the 200+ post thread on the Evil Forum. Thanks,

Fronts are not going to fit.
You need like a 1/4" spacer up front to clear the inside (suspension). -Ted |

Is a 215/40/18 a better choice, or a 5mm spacer?

Narrower tires are not going to work.
The rim lip is going to hit the bottom spring perch of the shock. ~6mm = ~1/4", so the 5mm spacer should work. -Ted |

Okay thank you. I'll order some spacers as well.

One more question. Would a 255/35/18 tire fit better in the rear? 18x9 +38mm
The 245/40/18 tires are a little easier on the wallet, but I'm willing to pay the difference if the tires will fit more flush with the lip of the wheel and still clear.
