radiator sensor?

bit of a noob question here, what is the sensor on the bottom left of the radiator on my s4 tii?

Driver's side?

I think it's a cold start sensor.

Yeah I think so. I tested one to see if it was a temp switch so I could use for my e-fan but it wasn't. Curious though, what exactly it is.

Why would the AC system care what the temp of your radiator is?

im not sure but i have since spoken to my mechanic and he has confirmed my research, i did not have time to ask exactly what it dose, i will ask the question when i speek to him next
