I agree SS shielding is the best ideally. There are alot of products that would reduce radiant heat though such as DEI header wrap. But that would only do any good on the manifold piping itself. If your idea is to enclose and divde the turbo system from the rest of the engine - custom shielding will be your best route.

Also, there are places like turblown that make lower intake heat shields/blankets for 2nd and 3rd gens. Never used one of their shields personally, but they make quality stuff.
