One wire is used as a voltage input for the internal voltage regulator.
I believe the FD needs a constant +12VDC. This needs to be connected. The other is for the warning light. It triggers a signal to the warning light cluster to tell you there is something wrong with the (electrical) charging system. This doesn't need to be used. -Ted
