Default Weight of stock 18" wheel?

Does anyone know what the weight of the stock 18" wheel on the RX-8 is? I want to start looking for lighter weight alternatives.

Thats not that bad considering the BBS vert rims are 12. Which are some of the lightest ones you can find. Even factoring in the size difference.

That also agrees with what Brian Goodwin told me when I asked him about mine (on an 09 RX-8).

Being only 20lbs makes it hard to get a worth while light weight rim. I've been looking around and the ones i've seen weigh more. The ones that weigh considerably less are very expensive. I don't see a problem using the OEM wheels for autox, or tracking.

I came to the same conclusion. The OEM wheels are quite light for OEM wheels of that size. I ended up going with a set of bronze Axis Circuit wheels (18x8.5"), which are forged by Rays Engineering. They weigh in at around 16 lbs., if I remember correctly.
