WTB: Running vintage rotary. Rx-2 / Rx-3 (not too expensive though!)

Hello!

My girlfriend and I are moving out of New York City next year - we're headed down south and she's gonna need car. Being a rotor head myself, we would love to get her a rotary vehicle, but an FB/FC just isn't her style.

We don't have a lot of money but it's for a good cause! We're moving to New Orleans where she has accepted a position as a special education teacher in a public school, and she needs to be able to get to / from work.

I know this is a long shot, but she can't spend more than $3,000 for a running car. (puts flame suit on)

We've been looking around at older rotary vehicles but we definitely can't afford a "restored" or "race-built" car.

I myself have a '93 FD and I'm very mechanically-inclined, so any car that needs some light work to get it on the road is OK as well - but something needing a complete rebuild is out of the question.

Anyway, if any rotary-saint out there is looking to get rid of one of their oldies, and willing to part with it for a reasonable price, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Awesome! Congrats on the move out of NYC Even though its a great fun place to live, its a horrible place for rotorheads. I love NO!! And there are great people down there. I think you'll love the rotary scene in NO.

Regarding Old school Rotaries, I'll keep my eyes out for you. I know Chad has few RX2 he's trying to get rid of. Not sure if any of them are running. Also my build is getting a 2 dr RX2 to run. He'll definitely be selling that one.

Hey Phil!

Thanks buddy! Yeah if you hear anything let me know. We're not moving until the end of next summer, so we have plenty of time to look around.

We've got our fingers crossed...

-Tom

Unfortunately I have no old-school rotary to offer you. But I do wish you the best of luck, and I'll keep my eyes peeled on ebay and other websites!

Well they can be found you might have to flip over some rocks or have your eyes glued to ebay and craigslist and grab them quick when they come up, you will have more luck with a 2 than you will a 3 but good luck none the less.

I know that my wife has abscounded with my Rx4s and Cosmos she could care less about the 7s (except Billy's Re-speed car) the R100s, rx3s and the like, But set a supercharged Rx4 or Cosmo in front of her and you better hide the keys or you won't get it back
