How what is suppose to be done, AST elimination or keeping AST?

With AST elimination, you replace the top of your thermostat housing (part that the radiator cap screws into) with the part that came on the 2nd Gens. Then you run the overflow line from this part directly to the overflow tank. Then plug the nipple coming out of the thermostat housing and the one on the radiator.

To keep the AST (upgraded to aluminum tank), you just route it as stock...top of AST near the cap goes to overflow tank, side port goes to the nipple on thermostat housing, and the bottom goes to the nipple on the radiator.

I don't have any pictures, but if someone did it might help explain it better.
