Which seat rails to use for Sparco seats

I was about to buy the regular side mounts but wanted some input before I do.

Should I get the base with sliders? or the side mounts?

What are you all using? BTW I have Sprint Vs, 6'0" tall in an FC with no sunroof.

Thanks in advance...gotta start putting this thing together. I'm leaning towards the sidemounts for better height clearance with helmet though.

i have a side mount seat (RaceTech) and i managed to make the stock sliders work. just fabricate the brackets. that will be cheaper than any rail.
I'm 6'2" and i fit with helmet in my no-sunroof car.

about that.... I kinda messed up my sliders. I have one bent and one broken (the slider fell apart)...I can try and find new ones but I'm thinking about dropping the money for ones that I can just drill in place.

So far I found the brackets for $49ea (I/O port racing) or $79ea (Sparco). I wanted to use the stock ones but I messed that up for myself.

The bases I've seen that fit the FC (500 series) might raise the seat too much so I'm trying to stay away from that....

Custom is the way to go...
Whatever you do, stay away from that Wedge Engineering CRAP!
My EVO2 needed a custom bracket to make it fit.
I'm 6'1".

well it's weird that you mention this.....I never read RETed's post.....well, until today. THe Wedge Engineering rails didn't fit and I had to modify the holes to get them to line up.

The upside is that I didn't pay retail for them...so I'm not too upset.

I've learned to not expect things to be as they claim. BTW, I sucked it up and bought the sliders too...
