whats the price of a GM igniter anyway. I am thinking about using an MSD box for the leading then run the gm igniter on the trailing.

Most parts stores sell the GM HEI module for around $20, but they can go for a lot more in some places, depending on brand name.

i got mine for 15. this setup is better then the msd setup. i cant fully explain why but jeff20b can. but the jist of it is the msd acts like the igniter's for the leading coils, but the coils only get half the power compared to my setup. so yeah you have a multiple spark setup but the spark isnt as strong as DLIDFIS. also the dwell period is as long, run at high rpm's the msd box cuts out.

if i didnt all ready have 2 msd coils the coils and igniters would of cost me 135 totale. 30$ a coil 15 a igniter. the msd setup would be what 250$ for the msd box plus 90$ for the coils. if you allready have a msd box try it out, but in steed of getting two coils try the double post coil for gm cars that msd sells.
