As I've said before, I believe the art to building rotaries is not so much in knowing how to assemble parts...anyone can do that. It is knowing what you can and can't get by with reusing successfully.
Yeah about half of mine wouldn't come out without destruction, so I needed new. Even so they're pretty darned cheap. In my build if it was under $20 I got it whether I needed it or not. I did pretty much all springs, all rubber, apex seals, and such.
