Glad to see someone else putting theirs back on the road, I took mine out from under the car cover and pushed it into the garage for the first time in 8 months, I might actually have this thing running soon. I still havent decided on the power plant though.

On the exhaust port, it looks like you only opened it just a touch earlier than factory? Is this correct, am I seeing the picture correctly. I am building my motor later in the week and since I am deciding to stay stock twins at the moment I am deciding to do extremely conservative porting for I usually do on the rebuilds I sell.

The template I use for standard porting is basically the same as Gotham's Large street port. I decided to keep the exhaust port very close to factory with just a few minor adjustments as I feel the factory Peripheral exhaust port should flow plenty for my goals.

Everything looks good.

Yeah, but looks like he went wider... Should be plenty.. I have one good housing with a racing beat exhaust port and trying to decide if I like it enough to match one of my others to it or go with a more square cut style? Here is a pic of one similar but not mine..

That picture you posted is basically the same is my standard exhaust port. FWIW I just had a customer make 399rwhp on 7lbs with a 72 or 74 mm turbo and that was with ignition break up, up top. His motor has Landers standard intake port template which like I said earlier is large compared to what most shops do. Hopefully he will post more numbers soon once he gets everything sorted out. Enough hijacking this thread for now

Dont let that picture confuse you this is a pretty big port, the goal here is to have little over lap, but it is pretty big compared to a stock port. We will see what the flow bench says.....

Are you looking at the scribed line or the little that was already cleaned off in the pic.? I have not scene too many shops/ port guys that go as deep or like it that way. Seems most now like the more square cut design. But like he said the flow bench says most! 399 at 7 psi is sick!

I was looking at the scribed line We dont like to do a lot of overlap. Just preference, still I believe the stock port is more than MOST people really NEED.

Hey I know that Glen has a lot of work in the shop right now, however he is still dedicating some time to his project. He and Tom just helped me get mine running again, plus he has many others vying for his time, so to answer your question.... no, not yet, but progress is still being made

I was just talking to Glen and when he was building my car he got a lot of motivation to finish his. My car turned out about how he wants his car to be plus about another 200 hp and just a little more money......? I know he was working on his battery relocation a couple of weeks ago. I hope he gets his car done soon so when I move back to Tucson we can hangout and cruise in the FDs. GLEN you better get working on your car, forget about the shop, you dont really work much/hard there anyways!!!!!
