The TPS is keyed so it only fits onto the throttle shaft in one orientation. I would have to disassemble the throttle body and rotate the shaft 180 degrees and I'm not sure if everything would reassemble that way (throttle plates and what not).

This particular TPS does not have an infinite range of movement. Its range is greater than 90 degress but it does not allow me to mount it in any orientation. Also, see above about the keyway. My TB is tapped so I could rotate the TPS a little in either direction but unfortunately the other orientations do not permit the full range of motion of the throttle plates. It becomes restricted by the range of the TPS.

Good ideas. I'll have to take a closer look at the TB and TPS when I get the chance and perhaps take some pictures to better illustrate my comments above.
