My 1988 TII: Project Elara

Project Elara: 1988 Mazda RX7 Turbo II

These are the chronicles of the perilous adventures of Myself and My hetero-machine-life-mate, Elara. They will tell about her origins, her ascension to greatness, her downfall from grace, her re-emergence into the publics eye, and best of all, her recipe for the perfect omelet!!

I got the car for $2,100. It was fairly stock with just a rebuilt and street ported motor and a 2.5" custom single exit exhaust. It had full emissions removal and lots of weight reduction(IE, lots of shit was missing, haha). I installed the following shortly afterwards:

D2 Coilovers
3" Motoria/Corksport turbo back exhaust
Carbon fiber hood
RS Racing Dual Pass badass giant radiator
Custom Steel braided/AN oil cooler lines
Turbonetics Raptor BOV
3" turbo inlet duct
Greddy boost gauge
GP Sports body kit
Quick release steering wheel
Nismo shift knob
S5 seats
S5 interior pieces to replace missing or broken pieces
HID's
!!!!!!!!!!!!!DRIFT BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a list of what's going on it now:
T04E turbo
Boost controller
Blitz front mount intercooler
Two 890cc Injectors
Two 1000cc Injectors
Tomei Fuel Pressure Regulator
ARC Blow off valve
Walbro Fuel Pump
Rtek 2.1 ECU
AEM Wideband UEGO
Taurus E-fan
Megan Racing water temp gauge
5one5 idiot cluster triple gauge pod
MX5 Miata shift knob
S5 alternator with dual pulley

I've also started sanding and prepping the car for paint. I know there's other stuff I'm forgetting and I'll probably remember later and post up. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

Here's a picture of it from a week ago.(NOTE this is not me standing in front of the car lolololol, it's a friend of mine posing for the flag that's sitting in my antenna hole).

Here I took off a bunch of crap to get ready to install some more crap, haha.

Here is a picture with everything still as it was when I drove it to my work to start all this.

My new, super JDM tight cold air intake, DAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWG! I know, you're probably wondering where the filter is :O.

Here it is! Except I've bought a new AEM dry flow filter to replace this nasty K&N piece of shit that's on there that I stole from work, haahha.

Before I started sanding it down.

About to go buy some newspaper so I can cover the windows.

I'm not sure if I'm going to paint my CF hood or not. It only needs a little wax to shine. We'll see how much paint is left at the end.

Here's just a few pictures of it before when it had the body kit on. It will again, I just took it off for the paint.

Here it's missing the rear because I hadn't ordered it at the time. I'm not even sure if I have a picture of it with the rear on, hahah.
