Each has their own take on port geometry - there are a lot of things that are dependant on power goals, etc. Some things are universal to all porting jobs, and Judge_ITO is right about the bevel (especially on the trailing edge of the port). The bevel also helps the flow as the sharp edge will create turbulence.

This nitriding process is a good service to the community.
