Default removing Front exhaust piece honeycomb

Has anyone taken the trouble of removing the honeycomb within the front exhaust piece? Has this resulted in any net gain in performance? Does this result in damage to other exhaust components?

Thanks for your input

I have removed it from all 3 cats.
I noticed a huge power jump (maincat had broken down) from stock, slightly louder, but much more fun to drive.

which is easily remedied by plumbing the feed line into the air pump. It will have no bad effects beyond those of the normal system.
