Default Front mount intercooler piping

I know this is a weird technical question but those that are running Front Mounts how did you run the intercooler and piping? I'm thinking I will run piping through the sides of the engine bay: in front of the windshield washer reservoir and down to the intercooler which is sitting beneath the frame rails. The piping will then come up the other side similar to how the feed line has already been discussed. It will then come across the engine bay to feed into the throttle body area. (It's a turbo 6-port)

Those that have pictures of how they plumb the front mounts please share them with me as I'm beginning the planning stage of how I want to run the piping.

I'll get you some pics of how I ran mine back in the day. It's a little different since you're using the NA with the TB on the passenger side.

Most NA-Turbo setups I've seen the cold and hot side are on the passenger side, they don't come across the engine bay at all.

Do you have a better shot of the pipe bends you got, or at least a list of what pipes you're working with?

Oh - and how are your end tanks positioned on the IC?

It's straight through on the intercooler.

Then I have 2 U bends, 2 90*, 2 straight, 2 45*. I plan on cutting and welding in some longer pieces on the straight and maybe cutting and welding some of the bends, but all in all it reaches. It's just how I should route them to the cooler through the engine bay and back again.

I don't have any more picture space available here, search my thread on the "other" forum, it has pics of my IC setup.

I did it a little different then most. Involved a bit more cutting, but significantly less piping. I went through the rad support on both sides of the rad....and yes, its doable with pop ups, just much more cutting, and possible re-enforcment to do afterwards.

But its an out of the box setup that might get some wheels turning in your cranium.

I remember seeing that. Unfortunately for me to use that set up I would have to mount my radiator much lower. I'm already planning on reinforcing the radiator support bar as that's about the only location to mount the AFCO radiator there.

Beyond that I might be able to mount the piping underneath the frame rails and come up between them. I don't really want to do that, but I may.

I guess that's something else to mention: I'd like to keep my head lights pop up-able. Which means I can't put piping in a location that will interfere with the assembly.

V/HMIC I'd say no cutting at all but I cut out the frame support between the frame rails where the stock oil-cooler lived. Then there were a bunch of other tabs, supports, brackets and alot of other little things that met the business end of my plasma cutter.

I know Ian managed to do his HMIC with no cutting at all though.

However, being a 6-port turbo...... I would try to find one of those intercoolers with the in/out on the same side. Shift the intercooler over to one side and have the piping run together. Actually weld it together would look pretty slick, In my mind anyway.

They're cached for you. The 7 club hasn't allowed external linking for a while (since RCC basically).

Normally I would but the ability to run front mount opens up a lot of possibilities that wouldn't readily be available to me otherwise. Not denying that absolute beauty of a V mount but I'm rearranging the entire engine bay already so doing a front mount shouldn't be all that much more difficult.

I'm thinking about just cutting the holes just infront of the windshield washer reservoir and then plumbing it all together. The intercooler I currently have is perfect for my needs but the fitment isn't exactly spectacular (the price however was just right).

I would normally consider picking up a new intercooler as you have described but funds are going to be a little tight since I'm rebuilding my engine. I think I have the pipe mapped out in my head, but I would still appreciate pictures and the works of different F/V/H mount setups.
