.... maybe I'll get it later in life, but if you got a great car that works, why sell it? IMO, an RX-8 is a downgrade from a clean, rust free FC Turbo, but nice choice nonetheless.

Age, space, comfort.

Age- I am getting older, and so is the FC

Space- Now that I had a child, the backseats are quite useful

Comfort- No PS, AC or emissions makes the FC not too much fun. Add to that seats that slightly overweight people can't get into, and it is uncomfortable.

The RX-8 is not a slow car, and it handles VERY good.

Also, it won't remain stock. Who needs that crap

I love my FC to death, but I'd never say my RX8 is a "downgrade" at all. Its just different.

Stock vs Stock the RX8 is just as fast as the T2 and IMHO is better balanced....

If you've got kids and need back seats, RX8 hands down, lol... ever try to fit ANYTHING in the FC rear seats?

Good buy DJ.. sorry your FC has to go though... I would agree that it sucks to sell a car thats paid for....

True the FC is paid for, but so is the RX8.

So really the FC is going to pay to help improve the 8.

Nice FC. Sorry to hear that you are selling it. However, the RX8 should be a very fun car too! Good luck with the sale and good luck with the RX8.

Thanks. I just hope I can get something out of it. It is very clean inside, and there is no rust at all. The car is very solid. I am going to attempt to spot paint the sections where the white is peeling off.

If that doesn't work, Maaco is only like $300

OHhhhhhh bad news.

So I took out the injectors. Rear primary injector was barely firing. So I bought a new gasket and got some new injectors. This morning, I out everything back in. Fired it up.

Still ran like shit. It was idling fine, and revved free, but just sounded bad.

I noticed when I fired it up, the oil pressure seemed lower than normal (45-50psi compared to normally it pushed 75-80psi). Not good.

So I let it warm up. Came back 10 minutes later, checked the pressure gauge, barely registering 5psi. Revved it, went to just below 25psi and dropped to maybe 10psi while the RPM's were up. Pretty sure it spun a bearing.

Oh well. Time to figure out whether to part it out, or sell it as a whole. It does run, and can be driven......if you were a brave soul.

Oh well, I guess its the RX-8 to DGRR after all.

Working on it. I was thinking of not going to radical on the chassis. I want to drive this nearly everyday. Thinking RB sways and Tein S-techs.

I've heard good things about Progress, as well as Agency Power. From what I have heard, there isn't a whole lot of difference. Anything is better than the stock hollow tube sways.

Maybe we should take this to my RX-8 resto build thread!!
