Cool Rotary VS VVTurbo... Is my theory unrealistic?

I'm going to try to keep this as simple as I can.

Would mating a Variable Vane Turbo to a 13B-REW , or 20B-REW be beneficial for the Rotary engine?
The Rotary could potentially benefit from having a small turbo for bottom end,
and then switch to being a big turbo for up top.
Is this idea similar to the Sequential system?

I imagine that the VVTurbo would be electronically controlled,
which makes me imagine that it could be difficult to tune, or am I wrong?

Has anyone ever attempted this build? I haven't found too much about it myself.

the Vacuum line, to my MAP became detached while I was legally drifting.
my engine would not rev past 2500, and idled from 300-650 and was stalling.
Fortunately, I acquired a Zip-Tie.
I fixed a catastrophic engine failure, With a Zip-Tie.

It sounds good in theory, but I have never heard of anyone doing it. I would imagine that it would depend upon how good the controller on the variable vanes was and how well it could be interfaced with an aftermarket ECU.

Who successfully mated a Rotary to a Holest Turbo?
Do you have a link to the build thread??

Someone beat me to it.

I've thought about that, and I thought it would be a good idea. I'm not surprised it's doable.

That being said, EFR turbos are simpler and spool really fast. I'd just go with one of those. As a matter of fact I did. TWICE. LOL

It's been done. Jeff and I bounced that idea around being the VVT's are primarily a diesel turbo, I figured he was the one to go to. Aside from being able to make boost in neutral, there's really no real benefit looking at the dynocharts of a holset that was posted.
Then again, it could've been a shit engine (although seeing the vac it pulled at idle I don't think it was.
I still bounce the idea around, then realize my FC will make positive pressure by 2k and still have 6500 useable rpm's to go. There are easier more proven ways to build boost fast
