What a nice 626! What a hard act for the rest of us to follow.

Here is my RHD contribution, my 1969 Bertone Mazda Luce RX87. Its in original unrestored condition apart from a partial repaint in the early 80's. It has a 13A engine with 87000 kms on the clock. These were Mazda's flagship in Japan back in 1969. I dont plan to modify it but one day when I have enough coin I would like to give it a full restoration.

It was lowered as you can see in the pics but its now back to its original height.

Lowered Height.

These more recent pics below are at original height.

Madaz your Luce is sublime....it easily follows the 626! Have seen it pop up on Ausrotary...absolutely mint condition!

An RX87 is quite high on my wish list! Would make a nice stable mate for my L10B.

Cheers,
Danny

Thanks Danny, an L10 is the ultimate rotary in my opinion. High on my wish list also.
Have you entered it into the ROTMC before?
You have a nice collection of rotaries.
regards
Sean

For those who dont no much about Mazda's 13A here is some brief info. It was produced exclusively for the Luce. As you can see in the pics the rotor housings share the same size as the 12A at 60mm.
The 0.655x2=1310 capacity is achieved by way of "stroke" as the rotors have a radius of 120mm and an eccentric shaft offset of 17.5mm compared to 10A/12A/13B which all have a rotor radius of 105mm and eccentric shaft offset of 15mm.

Isn't the new 16X rotary engine designed using the 13A housings?
