When referring to gun drilling in rack and pinion steering, it's a hole that is drilled down the center of the rack to lighten it. A guy I worked with at my internship designed and built a rack for the Mclaren/Mercedes F1 team with a titanium rack that was gun drilled...first person to ever pull of gun drilling a titanium rack. That's how I know gun drilling.

That is impressive, I cannot wait to see them drop past the 6.90 range.
