Passed emissions today! The guy stared at the cat for a while and when I asked him what was up he said that it was glowing red! I gave the appropriate "i dunno" and after I passed I immediately took the hose from the airpump off the exhaust... Apparently that setup was working a little too well...
For those wondering, I have a 5/8 nipple welded right before the cat that I run heater hose from the airpump outlet directly to the cat, which
basically is what is happening anyway stock, just doesn't go through the airpump. The car is a stock block with no emissions equip. It is definitely a temporary solution (rubber hose connected to exhaust), but doesn't melt or get brittle in 2-3 days and driving to and from emissions test. My wideband said 11.1-11.3 at idle during the test at about 1200rpm
