Where to place jackstands without rear subframe?

Just like the title says, I began jacking up the rear of my FC, preparing to drop the rear subframe, when I discovered I didn't know where to put the jackstands once the subframe is gone. The only place I can see is those 'rails' that run along the underside, I've always avoided using those for anything since I've seen them crushed so bad.

Immediate help would be appreciated, the car is up in the air supported by the floor jack right now .

jack it up by the diff, then put jackstands under the pinchrails. if diff is too low, drive up on blocks or whatever.

Never mind! I agree above.

You could also use a "snowshoe" method and place a load displacing object (whatever you want to use such as a piece of wood) between the jackstand and the body but as close to the pinch weld as possible. That's if you're worried about destroying the said area.

don't touch the pinch welds, especially if there is any type of surface rust ANYWHERE.

I use the "frame" rails underneathe the muffler heat shields. If you're dropping the subframe, the exhaust is gone so it's 3 10mm bolts and the heat shields are gone exposing a VERY stong jack point.

ohh ive never pulled heat shields!

my pinch rails have been fine, but only like the rearmost 4" of it. beyond that they collapse. i have no rust tho

The rear tow hooks are another good spot

That's what I always use, right on the two bolts.
