I'm updating the list as since the GB closed some people have dropped out, joined in, or failed to pay. This means a slight reorder of the list, which will reflect in the new numbering. Going through the paypal payment log I've noticed a few people who may have forgotten to pay shipping or paypal charges... I will email/PM those people shortly. Orders #1-23 are ready to ship, and assuming everything is paid up you should receive an email with your tracking number early next week (fed ex for US orders, USPS for international). Orders #24+ will be built as soon as we receive the next batch of housings. Thanks for bearing with us everyone!! -Heath

Also, I just wrote up an installation and aiming guide. It's a first draft. It's too wordy, too detailed, and needs more pictures... but it will get you all the way through the installation. We'll revise it but the link will stay the same (and we will also host it on our website when the website is finished). Anyway, here is a link to the installation guide -> FD Bi-Xenon Installation Guide

I sent final payment guys....

probedb 02-28-2010 04:39 PM

Any updates on this?? Nearly a month since your last update.

proz07 02-28-2010 05:34 PM

if your looking for updates check rx7club.com they are over there more often. word was the last half of the lights were gonna be another month or so. but they are worth it ive recieved mine not installed yet but looks like they retofitted rather well without remaking an entire new assembly so far im happy with them although i have not insalled them yet. and sakebomb has been very straight forward with everything about the kit thus far everything they have said about the kits is true thus far.

Cheers for the update, for some reason I can't register on rx7club and the admins are crap and don't reply to any emails requesting help so I ditched them. They also deleted an account I had for 4/5 years for no reason.

We have the next set of housings (#24+) and are estimating about a month to build/ship them. :) -Heath

+1........can' wait to put these on.

McVicker 04-07-2010 12:58 AM

Just giving a little update. There was a bit of a hold up when sourcing the remaining projectors. We have all the components now and Heath is working away trying to get the lights out ASAP. Estimated ship time will be roughly two weeks. Again sorry for the hold up guys, but with large orders like this these things can happen.

-Dan

probedb 04-07-2010 03:57 AM

Cheers Dan, noticed the reply on Facebook.

Awesome!

Sorry I can't use the other forum...I'm registered but the account won't let me post (after they removed my 5 year old account for no reason as well) and non of the admins or mods ever reply to emails so I can't get it fixed :banghead:

93vrfd_houston 04-28-2010 02:14 AM

sweet, thanks for the update 3 rotor. wasn't in a rush just wondering

3RotorMotor 05-21-2010 01:46 AM

All kits from GB#1 have been shipped :)

We're gonna run this second GB list for another two weeks and then close/finalize the GB as everyone signed up here has been waiting for awhile. This will be the last GB we will be running on these lights for some time and I can't say for sure when we'll be making another batch, as we have many other parts we would like to move on to.

Get 'em before you can't

3RotorMotor 06-03-2010 02:33 PM

The new GB price is $850 shipped within the US. I'll be posting a new thread for the second GB shortly. This will be the last run on these HID lights for a long time, or possibly indefinately so if you are interested in them you've got only a couple weeks to decide. Once the GB is finalized and order for parts placed thats it... we cant squeeze anyone else in.

:D Make sure to aim them as per the directions. The aiming guide is conservative and you can raise them higher if desired so long as you use good judgment. Lets see them on the car and some night shots

Going to sort these in the next couple of weeks and then I'll get some shots :)

3RotorMotor 08-17-2010 01:17 AM

We are running one final GB on the HID's. This is the last one we are going to run as the lights are really labor intensive to make and we are ready to move on to the next FD parts projects on our list.

We'll get the last GB list up tomorrow. At this point there are only a few spots left. Get in while you can. -Heath

WOW! Your car looks amazing! Love the bumper... very clean!!! You could even raise the lights up a tad for more visibility. The aiming instructions are for a standard height, so with your car lowered you can probably get away with more. Anyway the car looks great and thanks for uploading pics !!! Enjoy being able to see where you are going :icon_tup: Cheers!

Cheers...I was going for clean :) Yeah I've been trying to find somewhere to follow the instructions as they're just set to roughly what the HIDs were set to.

You can see the Feed lights there too, let's just say the quality of your lights is rather better!

I just have to see how they go through the MOT over here now.

The difference between even HIDs and these is amazing, it's like someone turned the sun on at night when on full beam :D And the cut off is brilliant, it's nice knowing you're not blinding people as you can see exactly where the light is going!

I would think you should pass MOT with flying colors. I mean I can't say for sure but there is so little light above the cutoff that I would think all that would be required is having them properly aimed. MOT has a beam analyzer correct? I'm interested to see what MOT has to say as we don't really have light checks over here in California... just really stringent smog checks.

Yeah it should be fine but you never know with an MOT which is a roadworthiness test (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOT_test). It's not just lights but everything :) They have rules for everything including beam patterns and stuff.

Then again you'd be amazed at the number of people still manage to drive around with a headlight or brakelight out!

TRISPEEDFD3S 09-06-2010 06:11 PM

I just want to post these because I'm still amazed by the lights!

Yeah we have a lot of new products coming out now. The aluminum interior door handle is one of them. We'll get that posted up tonight. There is also the FC HID's , the FD HID's, the FD dual oil cooler kits (19, or 25 row), a fire extinguisher bracket for the FD, and many other projects!!

Do you guys post under FDNewbie Imports over there? I noticed you didn't have your own sub-forum?

Door handles sound interesting :)
