SPiN Racing 11-08-2010 12:13 PM

Gonna be there this year. Come hell of high water. Stillll Pissed I didnt get there last year.

My wife will drive her white RX8 there
I will trailer the 1st Gen racecar most likely.
Small chance that my oldest son might drive the 91 up with us... :uhh:

Oh and I DO have a Trailer Hitch for a FC believe it or not... its in the attic, NOT on one of the cars. May have to put it in the for sale section.

FCZach has a tow ball on his N/A FC and towed 2 motorcycles to DGRR last year with no problems. Don't underestimate the FC... :)

Between that and the sound of an NA screaming at 8500rpm throfuh a pretty much unmuffled exhaust issei there some kind of addiction there. Can't wait for 2011, I love going to dgrr even more so than SS.

Dates...

I'm currently deciding on the date.. pending some personal/business trip.

I will be shooting for either First part of April (4/8 - 4/10) OR April 22nd - April 24th...

I will let you know once I get things situated... I'm also shooting for registration to start Beginning of Dec... This year, registration will require bit more confirming... Also, much different in term of what this event will represent :)

More info coming....

fingers are crossed for 8th - 10th, if so some SinCityRotary folks may make it out with enough time to attend to the details of our event in May and then of course particapate SS

Herblenny 11-08-2010 04:12 PM

It will be in April... And I have to say, if you guys are driving from Vegas, WOAW!

reddozen 11-08-2010 04:19 PM

well, as soon as registration is open, you'll have my money.

Herblenny 11-08-2010 04:31 PM

LOL! I want to open registration soon.. but few things are still being held up by few others... I'm hoping to open by Dec.

If there any other way?? :willy_nilly:

Thats why the dates will kind of dictate if it is feasable as WHiV organizers may be among those trekking across the states to drive the dragon

Yea I can't wait... it's going to be fun. I'm hoping to stay in a cabin this year. We'll see what the GF says...

I'm just happy I'll have the new motor in and tuned by then. There's a couple more things I'm hoping to have done, but they're more cosmetic than anything.

:) was already thinking of you, just waiting on the dates to be set then we can go from there all I know is Lonecorp better drag his arse down from NY lol

Buggy 11-09-2010 07:25 AM

Like the rest of you we have a Canadian convoy waiting for a date as well.

Herblenny 11-09-2010 08:36 AM

I could give you a tentative date...

Its either going to be April 8th - 10th, 2011 or April 22nd - 24th, 2011.

There is a slight.. I mean slight chance it might be 15th-17th, 2011... But its slight.

Hope this helps a little..

13x 11-09-2010 11:05 AM

At the risk of sounding like a whiner lol the earlier option would fit better with our schedules better to be back in time to button last minute details for WHiV

Herblenny 11-09-2010 11:10 AM

well, I'm shooting for the 8-10th... But only issue is that that time is questionable as we might possibly see snow up there.

13x 11-09-2010 11:43 AM

ohhhh the white stuff, crap not something we see much out here, back in NY yeah had our share had a storm in late April so anyone guess is best lol

IH8DSM 11-09-2010 12:09 PM

Already can't wait love dgrr

Herblenny 11-09-2010 02:19 PM

Ok,

Here are some info...

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e7...rapril2010.jpg

As you could see, this year around the time i'm thinking of, it never froze. But this is the weather at Robinsville... higher altitude might be little different.

But overall, we should be looking at highs in the 70s and low in the 40s F.

Should be a great weather for rotaries :)

PS.. also month of April is statistically least amounts of rain. But that being said, only 2 DGRR rained but only on friday and part saturday. Usually we have a beautiful weather at least one day out of 3.

Redshft 11-09-2010 07:07 PM

I'm actually pulling for the later date. (As much as I matter.)
Last year when we were down, we actually had a late season snow fall that almost prevented us from getting home. (It melted the day before we crossed back into Canada.)
Early April would be a very real possibility of getting snowed in and not making it down.

estevan62274 11-10-2010 10:27 AM

+1 for a later date too....

April 22nd - 24th, 2011 sounds good to me :)

reddozen 11-10-2010 12:25 PM

I'll start the google map again once registration opens too.

Redshft 11-10-2010 12:34 PM

... besides, who doesn't want a couple of extra weeks to get their cars done?

13x 11-10-2010 02:52 PM

good point

except maybe those driving back to the west coast where snow wouldn't be an issue but heat may be lol

Ian 11-12-2010 06:42 AM

Subscribed. Canuk Crew awaiting.....

Proxy One 11-16-2010 03:17 PM

Id be down for the later date too, more time to prep my car. Should have some new goodies on it by then.

Drama 11-17-2010 10:52 AM

later date +1 My car is completely apart.

TitaniumTT 11-17-2010 11:11 AM

be good to hit the road with duff and then my son from NY that should be attending, he and I have never been at the same place at the same time with our first gens

I am still waiting on that Dr. Pepper refill dammit.

That was the worst.... I'm still trying to figure out why we all didn't just leave after waiting for checks for an hour. Other than that it's not too bad minus the distance from the dragon and small show parking lot

Some of us bailed right away, before even trying to order. I think that night was Bojangles... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Bojangles.:willy_nilly:

Buggy 11-24-2010 06:21 PM

Oh God, not Bojangles! Ask Joe (Classicauto) how his chicken was.....

2gslse 11-25-2010 07:04 PM

Phil, I don't care when it is. I can't wait I would like to ask if we can get the grey shirts again instead of white ( I'll pay extra if its an option)

Herblenny 11-26-2010 08:07 AM
