HERBLENNY has 5 to 10 of everything .And he knows everyone . How good is that !
|
David,
What is the pricing on these? And when will they be available for purchase? |
I will put a price on them after I make a few more and see how long it takes a materal cost and bolt cost .I have bought the taps and drills . I will try to do some this week end .
|
I am going to make some for stock coils in the next few days then I will do some for the sec gen lead coil .I will supply SS bolts for the coils and I found a threaded insert to mount the plate to the car that is easy to use .The polly nuts I was using seem to be hard for some people to install .The price will be under $ 30 if I can get a good deal on the SS bolts and lock washers and inserts .I have the plates cut and the drill pattern made, and I bought the drills and taps yesterday .
|
Please put me in line for one with a stock 3rd gen coil. I'd like to get one as soon as they're ready.

Man, that is a good deal. Easy way to relocate your coils, cheap and all the thought/labor has been done. |
The SS bolts for the sec gen coils will be here Wensday and the mounting threaded inserts will be here today .They will be ready to ship or pick up after Wensday .
|
Pricing the all stock coil mount with SS coil bolts and mounting inserts, countersink allen mounting bolts, black oxide ,will be $30 plus shipping ,estimated . The plate for sec gen leading and stock trailing with SS coil mounting bolts and threaded mounting inserts and black oxide countersink allens will be$ 35 plus shipping . The two plates are mounted with the same pattern holes so you can unbolt and upgrade to sec gen coil with ease . The plates are 3/8 thick steel so the threads are strong and will last better than an alum plate .

Sorry but I have to ask, does anything have to be deleted for this to work?
I'm still learning. |

thanks for the reply, I know this relocates the coils.
The question was if anything is to be deleted (original equipment) for this to be installed. Some relocation brackets take the place of the power steering/ ABS unit. Wondering if this was along those same lines. I'd like to keep all accessories. Thanks! ~Jesse |
The plate is designed to bolt on the frame under the steering shaft with the coils facing upward as in Chads picts . There is nothing to move or delete .Your spark plug wires will need to be short .I make my wires using MSD wire and ends .I DO reuse the large Mazda boots . The MSD wire is 40 ohms per foot .

I'm interested in one of these. How much do the second gen leading coils go for? How much better are they? Will i need to re-tune at all? I have a twin power and stock coils on my fd. Thanks!
|
I think a used 2nd gen coil is about $ 50 ,call the Junk yards and sellers on the forum ,Do noy pay for the Ing box the coil is bolted to , not needed for you .The coil is bigger and will last longer plus puts out more power . The coil for the na motor and the turbo motor is the same . The stock coil wire connector will be cut off your harness and two ring connectors put on .very simple .I will write install instructions soon and Phil may put up picts .
