How can I get the front compressor wheel out of my turbo?

1) Remove turbo from engine / car.
2) Remove 6 bolts from the backing plate of the compressor housing - this releases the compressor housing from the rest of the turbo and exposes the compressor wheel.
3) Remove nut from top of compressor wheel.
4) Remove compressor wheel from shaft / turbine wheel.

Ok. Thanks. I wasn't sure I have never fooled with it before and I didn't want to mess something up. Can I use an s4 compressor wheel in an s5 turbo?

Yes, in fact, the entire rotating assembly (RA) is indentical for all the FC turbos.
The only difference is the turbine housings.
Word of warning:
The RA's are precision balanced.
If you take them apart, don't expect them to stay balanced, especially when mixing and matching parts.
An unbalanced RA is going to wobble itself to death.
If you have another stock turbo, I would recommend swapping just the turbine housings and oil drain tubes for less hassles.
If you're using an S5 turbo and the stock boost control, then you need the metal T pipes on the compressor housing also.

So I would be better off just putting the other turbo on the car instead of swapping the wheel or rotating assembly?
