Okay so I know my sensor is bad. Vac line on my car bucks like no tomorrow when sec injectors kick in. Unplug and it runs great. My question is what am I hurting if I just leave the vac line off as apposed to replacing the sensor. Please no mazda put it there so you need to replace it answers. I want to know the, if any side affects of leaving the vac line off. This is a non turbo.

Vacuum line off the sensor and the manifold vacuum leak plugged? That should work fine while you are on the TPS. Off the TPS, the ECU references the MAP (I had a bad MAP sensor and the car ran great everywhere except for >5000 rpm at WOT).

yep, line off leak plugged. i was just thinking launches would suck because of to much fuel but then i remebered that my ports now run off my smog pump so they open under load or not too now so theoretically that should even out

The ECU mostly references the AFM, so you are OK on AFR. (As ok as a factory ECU ever gets.)

I have a pressure sensor off my '86 that I know was good. If you think you need it, PM me with an address.
