Hello all,
I am in the process of building a custom dashboard, and I am looking to get an aftermarket speedometer, but I am having a hard time finding what type of sending unit will work with a tII tranny. Most sending units I have seen are for domestics (ford, mopar, gm). Are there any direct fit units out there? If not, does any know the thread pitch and number of gear teeth on the transmission for the speedo gear?
Thanks in advance

Call Speedometer Service Co. http://www.speedometersolutions.com/ they have a direct fit halleffect sending unit that worked with my autometer unit as well as with my Motec.
Good luck with the dash, Measure everything twice, shit is tight in there with a 5" tach, 3&3/8 speedo, and 3 2 & 1/16" gauges

Cool man, thanks for that link I'll definitely give them a call. As for fitment on the dash, I decided to hack up a stock dash to reuse the mounting points, and them I am making the mold from the ground up using clay (3 years of studying industrial design and modelmaking are definitely coming in handy). For clearance purposes, I have been leaning more towards going with a smaller 52 or 60mm digital speedo and a 3 3/8 tach. Nothing's written in stone yet as I am still in the infancy stages of the dash design and things will likely change before I get to the point of selecting gauges. Do you have any pics of your setup? Thanks for the tips BTW.
