Or so I thought on my Vert until the top decided it didn't want to move! From what I've been able to read it sounds like a motor issue and not the switch. It does everything correctly for going up, beeps bells and whistles, but nothing when I try and lower it. If it ever quits raining I might work on it... until then anyone know any testing or thoughts on it before I get my hammer out?

Well, it's a good thing that it failed in the up position and not in the down position, that would suck.
I dont know how to fix your problem, but it it turns out to be the motors, I have two that worked perfectly when I removed them from my car. (I am doing a custom roll bar setup and i need the space)
I would be willing to let them go for cheap btw, so make me an offer!

with the top up you can get access to the motors. If one stops, it seems likely the other would bind and not allow itself to accomplish anything.

Like I said it will go up just fine but nothing happens when I try to get it to go back down. I set it to manual (disengaged the motors) and lowered the top and then set it back and it went up just fine but again would not go down. Does nothing, no beeps, no motor sounds or anything for trying to get it to go down. I'm gonna hit it with a hammer. :)

charles does the opposite will go up and down just fine then randomly decides it doesn't wanna go up, If it was the motors going bad or one failing wouldn't it still beep?
How do you set the top to manual for future reference?

if NOTHING happens going down, then assume its the switch. Without the connection at the switch the various non sense that should happen wont have the connection. If just the motor died, it would at least beep from what i can tell. And both motors aren't going to poop at the same time.

*edit* That link is for an S5 series and says use a phillips head screwdriver. For some reason I want to say I used a flat head on my S4.
