What does it mean when you have no fuel pass the the engine bay fuel filter?... the filter only has about 6k miles on it. it shouldn't be bad.. i have fuel in the fuel lines at the fuel pump.. but no fuel on my plugs...its odd.. they smell of oil but not fuel.. car cranks ok... battery is fine.
its a 91 n/a FC...

pull the pump out and inspect the sock, tank, pump itself, etc. work from pump forward.

Is the fuel pump getting voltage?
The ENGINE fuse tends to blow sometimes, and this will prevent the fuel pump from turning on.

UPDATE:

- Fuel filter is on the right way with 'OUT' facing toward the engine.
- the Engine fuse on the drivers side panel is ok
- there is continuity between a - c on the fuel pump connector, according to FSM pg.
F1-52 bottom of page under there fuel and exhaust section.

Fuel pump working?
Pull the fuel line prior to the fuel filter...
Does it shoot fuel when you crank?

It's not weird...it's either dead, clogged or not getting enough voltage.

Get a good, used stock one.
Check out the classifieds or post a wanted ad.
Can't beat the stock unit for relibility, even though yours died. :(

LOL... grrrr !!!

it wasn't the fuel pump after all... I had a northern bay rotary mechanic by the name of Peter Staudt come out and check out my car.. turns out i got a bad connection or wiring somewhere between the fuse under the steering column and the fuel pump.. so we ran another wire and the car runs.. 2 months of Research and Reading pays off finally!!
