When you hit a bump, your ass end sways a bit. the struts are new. So i ruled them out. Trying to pin point without spending money replacing EVERYTHING, even though i should anyway.

I would check the front diff mount as well.

I would check the front diff mount as well.

It almost reads like a front diff like front wheel drive diff mount, thats how I first read it hehe.

Put the car up on jack stands and take a pry bar to all the links and see which ones are deflecting side to side more than they should.

Check the sway bar. S5's have plastic end links and they are prone to breaking under stress.

but i have an S4 so that is ruled out

Check anyways?. If the swaybar isn't working properly it will result in a loss of traction, which equals the rear end coming out easier.

And the bushings in the s4 endlinks can go bad.

And! they aren't plastic.

Not the metal sleeve inside, no, but rubber part around it can go bad. I took mine off once and the rubber fell out.
