so as of tonight, my Turbo II cant barely edge out a base model 08 civic 5 spd (not a K20 car) and is dead even with a SE-R sentra that is bone stock).
so something is up.
can a turbo that is starting to go, but still holding about 7 lbs and a bad TPS induce this much slowacity?

It is possible...
For the turbo, if it's making boost, it's highly unlikely that's the culprit.
The TPS could be the problem, but it'll hesistate like a MOFO if it's bad enough to slow the car down.
It's most likely other things like:
* wrong ignition timing
* wrong spark plug wire positions
* worn spark plugs
* ignition misfire
* clogged fuel filter
* too much fuel
* clogged cats, if you still got them
* bad thermo sensor
* big intake leak, but you will usually hear this

i should also mention my idle sit very high. Usually around 2-2.5k. Then other times is haning in there at 500 but lately its been tending to idle very high. Rarely lopes.

i am unsure as to how to test the thermo sensor, but i checked the TPS. Off throttle was about 1.3 volts. WOT was at 4.87 volts. 1.3 volts sounds high to me.
