87 N326 ecu and engine harness in GSLSE

black and blue wire, pin 3B on the ecu. does this need to go to anything particular? wiring diagram says it goes to the circuit opening relay but not sure how to incorporate that with the GSLSE stuff. Can i ground it out?

tracking down reasons for the engine not to start.

3B is the 12V starter input signal for the ECU, it lets the ecu know you are trying to start the engine. im not exactly sure how it works, but the ecu may use this to use a priming fuel map instead of the base map. could be the reason your not starting

im not familiar with FB's, but you could wire it into the same wire that goes to the starter solenoid

Hook it to the ignition switch so it's supplied with 12 volts only on Start. It does richen up the mixture on start up. We've cut this wire before when dealing with flooding issues on start up and it helped. The car still starts fine with it unhooked, at least in mild weather.

it differentiates between the AFM signal and the basic cranking injection maps. i would hook it up unless the engine is having flooding issues after initial startup, in fact disconnecting it is just a bandaid for more serious problems.

we had an issue with an S5 n/a swapped Miata that wouldn't always start, reconnected that wire and she banged off every time.
