I have noticed lately that when I hit the brake with about medium force while moving around 2-5 mph. I hear a loud clunk, thud, or whatever. I am not sure what could cause it. I do have godspeed coilovers, which have been on for about 6 months.

Yeah its the pads in the saddle, your missing shims.

Is it possible for shims to fall out of the cailper??

Are you saying that the clunking started when you installed those cheap coilovers?
If so, did those coilovers come with either a rubber or silicone "isolator" to fit between the shock bodies and the coilover sleeve?
If not, then this is probably the problem...
The coilover sleeves will sometimes rattle against the shock body under transition loads on the suspension.

That is another possibility. Shims cant fall out really if the pads are installed and everything is working correctly, but they can shimmy free and jam stuff up and make a shit load of noise.

the noise started out of the blue. I found a loose collar and tighten it up but the noise came back. I think I am going to get different coilovers later.
