I have a 87 base shell i dropped a T2 motor into. I swapped the motor harness with all the senors and kept it pretty factory. Went to start it and all it would do is crank. the motor came from a running car but the shell wasn't. i have spark and i'm pretty sure on fuel because i can hear it going through the fuel rail and ive pulled off the upper intake and removed the injectors. all of them click. i'm at a loss bc it was running before pulled and started right up besides the rough idle issue it had. was said to have a problem boosting but was suppose to be a leak. ive checked my fuel lines and they seem to be hooked up right but it started up and ran on starting fuid for a moment so i'm presuming its a fuel issue. any ideas on what to check and where to start would be awesome. thank you

I'm not sure why you are loss there are only so many parts that can fail in the fuel system
are the injector clips on correct? is there fuel in the tank? is it old gas?

i'm really aggravated with it and the car went from a shell to a full t2 swap in 3 days trying to get it ready for a drift event. the tank was cleaned and has 5 gallons of fresh 93 in it and the clips were on correct. ive messed with rotarys before but this is my first swap and really getting into one. fuel pump is running so i know its not the problem i'm just wondering if i'm missing a relay or fuse that is bad because the car was a non running shell and it sat for a few years.

There could be a lot of reasons. Does it even try to catch/start?

I would make sure you have fuel coming out of the injectors. Take the rail off, secure the injectors to the rail, and crank it and see what happens. I would put some sort of catch device (e.g. a cup) under there so fuel doesn't spray everywhere. I'd probably also cut spark when doing this.

You could also have a vacuum leak causing it to not start. Are you sure all the vacuum lines are hooked up?

AFM hooked up?

Did you plug in the two connectors under the dash? These plugs contain power for the injectors.

You didnt say if it was a JDM Tii you used for the swap but if it is you may have the fuel lines reversed. The JDM fuel intake and return are opposite the US ones so it is very common for them to be put on wrong. Pull the fuel return off and jump the fuel primer port and see if fuel flows. Be careful and dont blow yourself up. :83:
