so im working on my car last night and hooked up battery backwords for a split second, and then put it in the right way but now i have no power any were but all my fusses checked out not blown, but when i put battery on the charger it just says check battery, and also i can jump the car and it starts.. question is will hooking up a brand new battery wrong for a split second fry the battery

By checked out, do you mean visually? If you didn't use a multimeter, try using the resistance (ohm) setting and see if there's continuity. I doubt there is.

He said It starts when he jumps it. When I installed it backwards before the battery was fine. Is it a Dual termnial battery? If it is try to hook up the battery to the other termnials.

When I did this before the 80A main fuse blew. It has 2 or 3 bolts holding it on, they are on the sides under the little flaps.

Replace your alternator.... chances are you cooked that

its just a single top post cheapo from schwabs i took the battery and had it tested at schucks and it said it was toast. and also i do need to replace the alt its got some much belt dust inside it, why do these belts streach so fast its a brand new belt and the adjustment is maxed out and still loose.

cheap belt? try a gates brand belt.

My bet is underdrive pulley so you've actually got the wrong size belt
